Went out this morning and found the Viking Ship letterbox. It is not
missing...it was actually almost out on the trail. After stamping in
I shoved it under the rock and hid it again. The climb is a little
scary with the leaves, a walking stick would be a good idea for the
way back down.
While there I found HANNAH'S HORSE MOONDANCE at this box and sent it
on its way later in the day with Trish...rumor has it that it will be
placed soon :)
Also, the Bad Joke Fairy HH has been seen winging off from my hands
to points north with a friend...if you find her, let me know:

Hi Jocelyn,
thanks for the update. when I talked to Trish she said that the
letterbox was still there, alive & well. I meant to take it off my
list. I went looking for it in the summer. The briers were so thick
got very scratched up and could not get close enough to the rock to
find it. I will go back now that the briers are all dead.

Yes ! that's the one! I think I still have some of the scars to
prove it! Don't forget all that lovely poison ivy we marched up the
big rock through LOL. Hey, I gotta get this box now. it is a
personal vendetta (in true RI fashion.) Maybe I will make it my
200th box. I am up to 196 now. I promised my boyfriend I would wait
to do box 200 with him. You want to come Nancy? If I remember
correctly, you were there for box 100.
actually, now that all the leaves are off the trees I'll bet it's a
nice view of Narragansett Bay from the top of that big, ol' rock.
I will let you know how I make out.

Oh, one more thing...be careful around this box because there is a
lot of broken glass along the rocks. Don't want anyone getting sliced
or anything

Dear Trish,
I hope you aren't hurt by our "box bashing" of your letterbox. I
couldn't help myself. Butterfly's comment brought back such memories
I couldn't help having a little fun at your box's expense. I don't
mean anything mean or malicious by it. I always appreciate and enjoy
the many boxes you put out in our area and your beautifully carved
stamps. I hope you will accept my comments in the spirit as they
were intented.
thanks,
Janet

I can't imagine that this place has grown up so much
in just a few months! I think perhaps you were
looking in the wrong area, as we certainly didn't
encounter as many problems as you seem to have
encountered. Check your clues again, this isn't as
difficult box as it's been made to seem. The stamp is
awesome, I'd hate others to be scared away from trying
it. :o)
